Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on January. 19. 1946 to a poor family with 12 kids later on, realized early that she was able to escape the hardships of her life by using a imaginative mind. Prior to learning how to write or read she wrote herself songs. The first time she picked up a guitar was at age 8 and started singing at an Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of eleven. In the same year, she recorded her first record on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. At the age of 16, she made herself known to the local community, however her ambition was bigger. After graduating from the high school in 1964, she moved immediately to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart for the first time on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host at the time was searching for a girl to sing for his show. Parton accepted the job in 1967 and signed to RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of with the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. Then, in 1974, she left Wagoner's Show because the success of her own songs such as Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton composed "I Will Always Love You" in support of Wagoner just after the pair split. The track reached number. In 1974, the song by Parton"I Will Never Love You climbed to No.
